Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Boutique Family Office in Texas

On-boarding investors, who are potential community families, third party equity investors (Family offices, etc.) on a deal by deal basis, attracting private or bank debt on a deal by deal basis. By on-boarding investors, the CIO does his/her part in ensuring the company is well-capitalized.Maintaining good investor relations, operating/managing investment portfolio assets, monitoring them, visiting property general managers on a set schedule on site and holding them accountable to operational metrics. Advocating for the end consumer. Along with CEO: Identify, vet new investment opportunities and catalyze their manifestation. Investments maybe stabilized, value added, and/ or opportunistic (new build development).

Ideally Qualified CIO candidates will have the following traits: Good connections with families and other professionals capable of understanding our value proposition, who have substantial capital to deploy and who can be readily on-boarded into our clientele community, and strong sales skills to achieve this on-boarding. The CIO should have a strong background in the Family Office industry and/ or HNW Clients with a strong background in Hotel operations or strong interest and willingness to learn. A strong background in commercial real estate investing, especially the hotel asset class is particularly advantageous. If you don’t have the exact background and experience, having some other transferable skill set may substitute.
